Sustainable, long-term planning – For-EverTrail

Sustainable Asset Management

EverTrail is a professional asset management service with a vision to improve the sustainability and long-term planning of Mountain Bike Trail Networks. Our Sustainable Trails Pathway offers a progressive approach for clubs and land managers to improve their asset management reporting activities and strengthen funding opportunities.

Design & Implementation

Planning

Planning beyond 1 or 2 years is important to coordinate decision-making and ensure community trails can be responsibly managed for future generations to enjoy. We align trail management activities with international standards and best practice asset management.

Maintain & Sustain

Like other sport and recreation assets, the ongoing management and reinvestment is critical to sustain trail performance and the overall visitor experience. Our Sustainable Trails Pathway acknowledges the hard work of clubs and volunteers in maintaining their community trails.

New Development

Planning or constructing new trails? EverTrail can provide an independent, professional asset management report aligned to project details which will demonstrate responsible trail management planning beyond the trail network’s opening day.

Our Focus

The design and implementation of trail networks have evolved from simple handmade trails by local clubs to professionally designed, machine-built trails constructed to meet a variety of user groups and to attract domestic and international tourism.

EverTrails focus is to ensure owners and land managers of trail networks have the knowledge to make informed decisions to maintain the performance of their trails for the long term.

Growth of Mountain Biking

The rapid growth of Mountain Biking across Australia has driven demand for extensive new trail networks and the refurbishment of existing networks. The trails offer greater accessibility and are planned to deliver unique and desirable riding experiences for travellers, individuals, friends and families. With so many new and exciting trail developments across Australia, sustaining the network’s performance and visitor appeal will be essential for long-term viability.

Asset Management For Trail Networks

EverTrail has developed a *first of its kind* asset management reporting to monitor the performance and projected long-term costs required to sustainably manage trail networks.  Trail assessments are aligned with best practice asset management practice notes, guidelines and standards.  EverTrail’s Lifecycle reporting includes trail profiling in accordance with the International Mountain Biking Association’s (IMBA) Trail Difficulty Rating System (TDRS).
